Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 July 2026
These terms govern your use of nscpastpapers.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
NSCPastPapers is an independent educational website that links to publicly available South African past examination papers and provides free AI-assisted study tools. We are not affiliated with the Department of Basic Education, the IEB, or any provincial education department.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity that happens on your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to cheat in a live examination or supervised assessment.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the Service, our AI tutor, or our infrastructure.
- Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes rights.
- Scrape or bulk-download our content or the third-party PDFs we link to.
4. AI-generated content
Our AI tutor, marks predictor and memo generator are helpful study aids, but they can be wrong. Always double-check answers against the official DBE memorandum before relying on them, and never submit AI-generated work as your own for a formal assessment.
5. Intellectual property
The NSCPastPapers name, logo, design system and original written content are our property. Past examination papers and memoranda remain the intellectual property of the DBE, IEB or provincial education department that authored them. We simply link to the public archives that host these documents.
6. Advertising
The Service is supported by third-party advertising served by Google AdSense on content pages. We do our best to keep advertising unobtrusive and off interactive tools such as the AI tutor and account pages.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability or availability of the Service. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NSCPastPapers and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including academic outcomes such as exam marks.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of South Africa.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
