NSCPastPapers links to publicly available past papers hosted by the Department of Basic Education and the Gauteng Department of Education. If you are a rights holder and believe content linked from our site infringes your copyright, email legal@nscpastpapers.com with the URL and details of the claim and we’ll respond promptly. Include the exact page URL on our site, the URL of the original document you own, and a short statement that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder. We aim to action valid requests within one working day.

Before you email us

Most learner questions are answered faster in one of the resources below. Please take thirty seconds to check these first — it saves you a wait and helps us focus support time on the learners who really need a human.

• Can’t find a paper? Open the Subjects page and switch the Session pill between “November” and “May/June”. Some subjects (Accounting, Business Studies, Economics) only get a supplementary paper every second year, so the slot for a specific year may legitimately be empty.
• A memo link is broken? The DBE occasionally reshuffles its file server. Try the “DBE archive” link at the top of the subjects page — that always points to the current live folder.
• Nae gave you a wrong answer? AI tutors make mistakes. Cross-check against the official DBE memo, then reply to Nae with “that’s not right, the memo says X” — Nae will re-work the solution using the correct starting point.
• Forgot your password? Use the “Forgot password” link on the sign-in page. The reset email arrives within a minute — check your spam folder if it doesn’t.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a WhatsApp or phone number?

Not yet. We’re a small team and email is the only channel we can answer consistently, especially during the October–November finals period when question-volume peaks. Every email is read by a human within two working days.

I’m a teacher — can I request a specific subject or paper?

Yes, please do. Email hello@nscpastpapers.com with the subject, grade, year and (if possible) a link to the paper on the DBE or provincial site. Teacher requests jump the queue because they benefit an entire class.

I’m a parent — how do I know my child is safe on the site?

NSCPastPapers doesn’t contain any social features. There are no chat rooms, no direct messages between learners, no profile pictures, no comment sections. Ads are filtered against Google’s Family-safe policy and are switched off entirely on the AI tutor and account screens. See our privacy policy for the full picture.

Can I delete my account and all my data?

Yes. Email privacy@nscpastpapers.com from the address on your account and we’ll delete your account, saved flashcards, chat history and marks-predictor entries within seven days.

Are you affiliated with the DBE or IEB?

No. NSCPastPapers is an independent education project. We link to publicly available DBE and provincial past papers but we are not endorsed by, or affiliated with, any government body or examinations board.
